New ultimate value flagship from OnePlus to feature the brand’s largest ever battery
Bengaluru, December 5, 2025 – Global technology brand OnePlus today revealed that OnePlus 15R, its upcoming ultimate value flagship, will feature the largest battery ever found in a OnePlus phone. Measuring a massive 7,400 mAh, the mammoth battery means OnePlus 15R is built to play and never, ever stop, and combines with the stunning 165Hz 1.5K AMOLED display to make the device a worthy addition to the legendary OnePlus R Series.
Largest ever battery and best ever video
The 7,400 mAh battery inside the OnePlus 15R, equipped with OnePlus’s 80W SUPERVOOC fast charging technology, is built to run in the harshest environments on Earth and still keep running with at least 80% capacity after four years. It’s also built with Silicon Nanostack technology, with 15% silicon content inside its anode, which provides excellent energy density.
OnePlus also announced that the OnePlus 15R’s camera can record 120 frames per second video at 4K resolution, previously only seen in the OnePlus 15, again showing that the OnePlus 15R truly is the brand’s ultimate value flagship.
Co-defined and co-optimized chipset
The news of OnePlus 15R’s ginormous 7,400 mAh battery and stellar video recording abilities follows the reveal of OnePlus 15R’s Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 mobile platform, with OnePlus 15R being the first phone to launch globally with the chipset. Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 was co-defined and co-optimized by OnePlus and Qualcomm over 24 months to ensure Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 would be a perfect fit inside the OnePlus 15R.
Stellar display and Plus Mind enabled
Also driving OnePlus 15R to greatness is its stunning 165 Hz 1.5K AMOLED display, complete with 450 pixels per inch and the ability to go from 1800 nits of brightness all the way down to 2 nits by default or 1 nit with Reduce White Point activated. The display, which has received TÜV Rheinland Intelligent Eye Care 5.0 certification, makes any content look glorious and looks after your eyes as well as your content.
Finally, the OnePlus 15R has also been revealed to support Plus Mind, the OnePlus AI technology dedicated to helping make life less complicated. Users who are bombarded with content, feeds and pages and pages of data can use one simple tap of the Plus Key to send whatever’s on their phone screen to Plus Mind for safekeeping. Plus Mind can then analyse the data and help act on it, including creating calendar invites, as well as making it easier than ever to find data at a later date.
