Global exhibitors’ press conferences kicked off IFA Week 2026 today
IFA Berlin, the world’s largest event for Consumer Electronics, Home Appliances and Future Tech, kicks off today with IFA Media Days. Even before the official opening of the trade show, accredited journalists gain exclusive access to the exhibition halls and experience product premieres, live demonstrations and global press conferences from leading technology brands. The programme opened today with Bosch and Siemens’ joint press conference on the key trends and product innovations for 2026. Acer and Miele also presented their latest products over the course of the day.

More than just household appliances: Siemens combines lifestyle, design and smart technology
At IFA 2026, Siemens is showcasing new smart household appliances for the kitchen and laundry, such as a new oven that automatically recognises more than 100 dishes and also saves your favourite recipes. With its new washer-dryer, Siemens has also unveiled an energy-efficient 2-in-1 appliance featuring heat pump technology.
Heat pumps can be connected to Bosch Smart Home thermostats
Bosch Smart Home is also presenting new products at this year’s IFA 2026, designed to enhance comfort and efficiency in the home. Optimised heat distribution with smart radiator thermostats. By intelligently connecting Bosch and Buderus heat pumps to Bosch Smart Home thermostats, heat generation is controlled according to demand: the heat pump only generates heat when it is actually needed in the rooms.
Acer showcases AI solutions, notebooks and gaming products
At a global press conference, Jason Chen, Chairman and CEO of Acer, presented new products and technologies in the fields of computing, artificial intelligence and gaming. He was joined on stage by representatives from NVIDIA, Microsoft and Intel, amongst others. Google contributed a video message to the media representatives via a video conference.
Acer showcased numerous innovations in the fields of AI, mobile working and gaming. These include compact workstations for professional AI applications, new notebooks designed to meet a range of requirements, and flexible display solutions for the mobile workplace. In the gaming sector, Acer also unveiled new mobile devices and concepts for flexible gaming on the go.
Miele presented the path to the end of housework
Under the slogan ‘The end of housework is in sight’, Miele demonstrated at its press conference how smart technologies can make everyday life more comfortable. Miele unveiled new solutions for smart dishwashing, cooking and laundry. The focus was on the new G8 Diamond dishwasher, which recognises the load and types of crockery and automatically adjusts the washing cycle accordingly. Other highlights included the AI-based cooking assistant and the ‘Cary’ concept study, which uses sensors and AI to recognise fabrics and control the washing cycle accordingly.
Media Days Day 2 outlook: Thursday’s IFA highlights
On 2 and 3 September, IFA Media Days bring together international media and leading companies from the home and consumer technology industry. IFA thereby underscores its role as a global platform for product launches, technological innovation and direct dialogue between brands, the media and industry experts.
